Add grated gourd, gram flour, red chili powder, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, and coriander leaves to the grated bottle gourd and mix well.

Grease your palms and make small balls or koftas from this mixture and keep aside.

- Heat oil in a pan and fry the gourd kofta on low to medium flame. Once they turn brown and crisp, take them out on kitchen paper napkins to remove excess oil.

- Heat 2 tbsp oil in another pan and add cumin and bay leaves. Once they crackle, add onion paste.

Cook it while stirring till it turns golden brown and then add chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and tomato puree. Cook it till the oil starts separating.

Add some water to it and boil it.

Cover the pan by adding fried koftas and let the gravy boil for another 5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the kofta curry hot with rice or roti.
