Makhane - 2 cups
Groundnuts - 1/2 cup
Carrot finely chopped - 1/2 cup
Beetroot finely chopped - 1/2 cup
Onion finely chopped - 1/2 cup
Tomatoes finely chopped - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves chopped - 1/4 cup
Green Chilli Chopped - 2
Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Desi Ghee - 3-4 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind Chutney - as required
Green Chutney - as required
Sev - 1/4 cup
Salt - as per taste
If you want to make Makhana Bhel, then first heat a wok by adding desi ghee on low flame. When the ghee of the pan melts, put peanuts inside it and fry it. When the grains are fried, take them out in a bowl and keep them aside. Now put the makhanas in the ghee of the pan and fry them well for 5-6 minutes. Then you have to put red chili powder and salt as per taste and fry it. When the makhanas are fried well, take them out in a bowl.
Now take a mixing bowl, add roasted peanuts and makhana and mix it well. Before this, cut onion, tomato, green chili, beet, and carrot into fine pieces. Put them in the makhana bowl and mix them all well. After this, add chaat masala, green spicy chutney, sweet tamarind chutney, and finely chopped coriander leaves and mix. Now take out the makhana bhel on a plate and serve it by adding sev and green coriander leaves on top.
