Punjabi Style Samosa Recipe: Make Samosa in Punjabi style, know the method here...


for covering

-2 cups flour

-3 tbsp lukewarm ghee

-half tsp ajwain

-salt to taste

-oil for frying


For filling
-5 potatoes (boiled and mashed)

-1/4 cup green peas

-1 piece of ginger (finely chopped)

-1-1 tsp cumin, roasted fennel powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, chaat masala powder, mango powder

-Half teaspoon turmeric powder and black salt

-salt to taste

-Few green coriander (chopped)

For covering

Mix all the ingredients except oil for frying.

Knead by adding water as required.

Keep covered for 20 minutes.

For filling

Heat oil in a pan and sprinkle cumin seeds.

Add ginger and turmeric powder and fry.

Mixing all the ingredients including mashed potatoes, salt, black salt

Fry for 3-4 minutes.

Mix green coriander and take it off the flame.


To make samosa

Take a dough of kneaded flour and roll it.

Cut a semicircle from the middle.

Fold one part like a cone and fill it with filling.

Stick the edges with water.

Fry in hot oil on low flame till golden brown.

Serve with green chutney and sweet chutney.
