Necessary ingredients
-Paneer - 250 grams
-Tomato boiled - 2
-Green peas - 1 cup
-Capsicum (red) - 1
-Green chili - 1
-Ghee/Butter - 2 tbsp
-Cream / Curd - 1/4 cup
-Milk - 1/4 cup
-Sugar - 1 tsp
-Garam Masala - 1 tsp
-Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
-Green coriander chopped - 2 tbsp
-oil - as needed
-Rock salt - as per taste

Method of Making: 

  • To make Paneer Makhani, first, take the paneer and cut it into one-inch pieces. After this boil the tomatoes and make a puree by removing its peel. Simultaneously, steam the green peas as well. Now put ghee/butter in a pan and keep it to heat on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add chopped capsicum and green chilies to it. Let it cook till it becomes soft. When the chilies cool down, grind them in a mixer by adding a little water.
  • Now put some more ghee in the pan and heat it. After this add tomato puree and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. After this, add capsicum paste, garam masala, sugar, green peas, red chili powder, and salt to the puree and mix it all well. Now let this gravy cook for 4-5 minutes. After the specified time, add cream and milk to the gravy. After this, add a quarter cup of water to it and let it cook for at least 10 minutes.
  • When the gravy is cooked well and starts boiling, then add the pieces of chopped cheese to it and mix them well with the gravy with the help of a ladle. Now cook the vegetable on low flame for 5 more minutes. Switch off the gas after the specified time. Your delicious Paneer Makhani is ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves and kasoori methi before serving. Serve it with roti, naan, or paratha.
