The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. Snakes are worshiped mainly on this day. In some states, Nag Panchami is also celebrated on the day of Chaitra and Bhadrapada Shukla Panchami. This time according to the English month, the festival of Nag Panchami will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

1. According to astrology, the lord of Panchami Tithi is Nag. Eight snakes are worshiped mainly on this day.

2. The names of the Ashtnagas are- Ananta, Vasuki, Padma, Mahapadma, Takshaka, Kulir, Karkata and Shankha.

3. If you are keeping a fast on this day, then take one meal on the day of Chaturthi and fast on Panchami, food is taken in the evening.

4. To worship the serpents, their picture or idol is installed on a wooden plate and worshiped.

5. Offering turmeric, kanku, roli, rice, and flowers to the idol and offering it to the snake idol after mixing raw milk, ghee, and sugar.
