Ingredients for making Moong Dal
Moong dal (yellow)

How to make
To make this, first, soak the lentils for 20 minutes. Then wash it with water and boil it by adding salt and turmeric along with tomatoes and green chilies in the cooker. Boil it well and then after the cooker cools down, take out the tomatoes and green chilies from it. Separate the skin of the tomato and then chop the green chilies as well. Now heat ghee in a pan and then add cumin seeds to it. After cracking, add tomatoes and green chilies to it. Let it cook well. Now add cloves and black pepper to it and then cover it for some time.
After 5 to 7 minutes add red chili powder and coriander powder to it. Add a little water if needed. Fry the masala for 2 to 3 minutes and then add the lentils to it. Add water if needed. Now let the dal cook well for 10 to 12 minutes. When the dal is well cooked, add garam masala powder and add lemon juice. Switch off the flame and then garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
