Necessary ingredients
-loaf bread - 8-10
-Moth Sprouts - 2 cups
-Potatoes boiled - 2
-Tomato finely chopped - 1
-Onion chopped - 1
-Curd - 1/2 cup
-Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
-Rai - 1/2 tsp
-Green chilies chopped - 3
-Cumin - 1 tsp
-Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
-Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
-Tamarind Pulp - 1 tbsp
-Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
-Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
-Chivda - 1 cup
-Curry leaves - 8-10
-lemon - 1
-Coriander chopped - 1/4 cup
-Salt - as per taste



  • To make Kolhapuri style Misal Pav, first, take the moth beans and soak them in water overnight. After this wash it and tie it in a thick cotton cloth and keep it in a warm place. After a day or two, the moth will sprout. If you want, you can also use sprouts available in the market. Now put a little oil in a pressure cooker, keep it on low flame and heat it and put moth, salt and water in it, put the lid and boil them on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into small pieces in a bowl. Now put oil in a pan and let it heat on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds, cumin, and curry leaves and fry them for a while. After this, add finely chopped onion to this mixture and fry it till it becomes light golden. After this, add chopped tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, and finely chopped green chilies, and cook while stirring with a ladle. After cooking for 2-3 minutes when the tomatoes become soft. After the tomatoes become soft, add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin, turmeric, and garam masala, and mix it well. After this, add boiled moth sprouts and chopped boiled potatoes to the pan and mix it while stirring with a ladle. Add salt and tamarind pulp as per taste and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. After this, pour 1/2 cup of water into the pan, cover it and let it cook for 10 minutes more. After that turn off the gas. Your delicious misal is ready.
  • Now put the misal in a bowl and garnish it with chivda, chopped coriander leaves. Squeeze the lemon on top and add chopped onion as well. After this, roast the pav in butter and serve it with misal. The wonderful taste of Misal Pav will make everyone appreciate it.
