Necessary ingredients
-Idli - 10
-Onion finely chopped - 1/2
-Rai - 1/2 tsp
-Curry leaves - 8-10
-Cumin - 1/2 tsp
-Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
-Green chilies cut long - 2
-Vinegar - 1/2 tsp
-Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
-Green coriander finely chopped - 1 tbsp
-Red chili sauce - 1 tsp
-salt - as per taste

Method Of Making

  • To make Masala Idli Fry, first cut small pieces of idli in a vessel. After this take a bowl and add red chili powder, red chili sauce, salt to taste, turmeric powder and mix it all well. Now add idli pieces to this mixture and mix it well with the mixture.
  • Now take a wok and put some oil in it and keep it to heat on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add idli pieces and mixture and fry them well with the help of a ladle. After that turn off the gas flame. Now take another wok and heat oil in it, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped onions, curry leaves and green chilies and fry them all well for about a minute.
  • Now add fried idlis to this mixture and let it cook for some time. Switch off the gas after 1-2 minutes. Your delicious Masala Idli Fry is ready. Garnish it with green coriander leaves before serving.
