Healthy Recipe: Make tasty and healthy Chana Dal and Sesame Khichdi, know the recipe here...


-1-1 cup basmati rice (soaked for 30 minutes) and chana dal (soaked for 2 hours)

-2 tbsp ghee

-½ cup peas


-1-1 tsp cumin, red chili powder, and mustard seeds

-2 Starpool

-half tsp turmeric powder

-a piece of cinnamon

-2 cloves

-salt to taste

To touch

-1-1 tbsp ghee and white sesame seeds

-2 whole red chilies

Heat ghee in a cooker, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, star flowers, cinnamon, and cloves, and fry till they turn golden.

Add chana dal, green peas, and rice, and fry for 2 minutes.

Add all the powdered spices, salt, and 4 cups of water and cook for 2 whistles.

Switch off the flame.


For tempering, heat ghee in a pan and add red chilies and sesame seeds.

When the chili crackles, pour it over the khichdi and serve.
