- 3/4 cup Arhar Dal
- 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- half tsp red chili powder
- half tsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp jaggery (grated)
- half tsp lemon juice
- two and a half cups of water
- salt to taste
- Few green coriander (chopped)
Ingredients for Tempering
- two tablespoons of oil
- half tsp mustard
- a pinch of asafoetida
- Two whole and dry red chilies
Method Of Making:
-Put lentils, water, and tomatoes in the pressure cooker and cook for 3 to 4 whistles, then turn off the flame.
-Open the lid and add peanuts, green chilies, curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger paste, jaggery, and salt, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
-If the lentils are thick, dilute it with a little water and remove them from the heat.
-Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, and red chilies, and fry them.
