1.5 cup basmati rice (soaked for 15 minutes)

1/2 cup green moong (soaked) and spinach puree

1 tsp cumin


1-1 tbsp ghee, garlic (crushed)

salt to taste

1/4-1/4 cup green peas and grated processed cheese

1 green onion (chopped)

Heat ghee in a cooker and sprinkle cumin seeds.

Add garlic and green onions and fry them.

Add soaked rice-mung beans, green peas, salt, and 3 cups of water and cook for 3-4 whistles.

Switch off the flame.

Add spinach puree and half a cup of water and cook for 2 more minutes.

Add cheese and mix well.


Switch off the flame.

Sprinkle some cheese and serve hot khichdi.
