Chatpata Corner: Make tasty Chatpata Poha Vada at home, know the recipe here...


For the vada

-1 cup Poha (soaked for 10 minutes)
-half cup semolina and curd
-salt to taste
-2 tbsp Green Coriander (chopped)
-2 green chilies


To splash
-1-1 tsp oil, mustard seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, and cumin 2 green chilies, and 1-1 onion and tomato (all three chopped)
-8-10 cloves of garlic (chopped)
-half tsp cumin powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder
-2 whole red chilies
-2-2 tbsp curd and water

Mix soaked poha, semolina, green chili, curd, and salt in a jar and grind it coarsely.

Make small vadas by adding green coriander and put them in a greased sieve and cook in steam for 10-12 minutes.

Switch off the flame and let the vadas cool down.


Heat oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Add garlic, green chili, onion, and whole red chili and fry.

Add tomatoes, salt, curd, water, and all the powdered spices and fry till the oil leaves the pan.

Add poha vada and mix well.

Switch off the flame after 1-2 minutes.

Serve hot spicy poha vada.
