For covering

-1 cup wheat flour

-1/4 cup semolina

-1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)


-1/2 tsp chili flakes

-1/4 -1/4 tsp ajwain and cumin

-2 tbsp oil (for moyan)

-salt to taste

-water as needed

-oil for frying

For filling
200 grams paneer (mashed)

1 onion (chopped)

1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

2-3 green chilies (chopped)

1/4 -1/4 tsp carom seeds, garam masala powder and black pepper powder, chaat masala

salt to taste

Mix all the ingredients to make the filling and keep it aside.

To make the covering, mix all the ingredients except the oil for frying and knead it hard.

Keep it covered with cloth for 15 minutes.


Wrap the dough in dry flour and roll it into a thin roti.

Cut it into two parts with a knife.

Fold one part into a triangle.

Fill 1 tablespoon filling and paste the edges by applying water.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the samosas on low flame till they become golden brown.

Serve with green chutney and tomato sauce.
