Commercial moisturizers available today are expensive, and they are often full of chemicals and additives. There are many natural remedies that you can make and use at home. You can follow these steps to learn how to make and use a homemade moisturizer.

# Treat oily skin

For this recipe, you can mix 1/3 cup borage oil with 2/3 cup jojoba oil or grapeseed oil. Next, add five drops of one of the following essential oils, such as lavender, peppermint, orange, or rosemary oil. Rub this oil wherever there is oily skin. It's okay to use this moisturizer on your face too, just try not to get it in your eyes or mouth.

# Soft skin

If you want to get soft skin then try this recipe. Simply mix equal parts of shea butter and coconut oil (solid form) together in a small container. Then, add five drops of lavender oil per cup of moisturizer. Use this moisturizer on your legs, arms, and face to get soft and supple skin.

# Treat acne

For this recipe, combine 2/3 cup of either argan oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, or sweet almond oil with 1/3 cup of evening primrose oil. Next, add five drops of lavender or rosemary oil. To get the best results, rub this oil on your face twice a day, once in the morning and once before going to bed. This recipe will also work in treating back acne.

If you have spots on your face apart from acne, then try this recipe. Add 1/2 cup of jojoba oil and one teaspoon of Vitamin E. Then, add five drops of tea tree oil. Apply this oil mixture on your scars with a cotton ball. Do not apply it more than thrice a day for the best results.
