Necessary Ingredients :

4 medium-sized potatoes

1/2 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp amchur powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp mustard powder

1 bowl of mustard oil

salt to taste

Method to make Potato Pickle:

To make potato pickle, first, wash the potatoes and boil them and cool them.

After the boiled potatoes cool down, peel them off and cut them into small pieces.

Add mango, turmeric, red chili, mustard seeds, and salt to the chopped potatoes.

Now place a pan on high flame and when it becomes hot, add oil to it. When the oil is hot enough and smoke starts rising from it, then switch off the flame.

Now let the oil cool down.

Add mustard oil little by little to the potatoes and mix. Keep half the oil aside.

Your spicy potato pickle is ready.

Now while filling this pickle in a glass jar, pour the remaining oil from above and close its lid.

Now keep this burnie in the sun for 2-3 days. Stir it a couple of times a day so that the oil and spices mix well.

After 3 days, the potato pickle will be ready to eat. You can eat it with roti or rice. You can keep it for 10-15 days.
