RCB recently held an unboxing event on its official YouTube channel, where Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and women's RCB team captain Smriti Mandhana launched the team's new jersey. During the same unboxing event, RCB also announced a change in its name. The team management took this decision in the hope that the people of Bengaluru would feel more connected to the team.

What will be the new name of RCB?

During the live stream of the unboxing event on YouTube, it was announced that RCB would now be named "Royal Challengers Bangalore" instead of "Royal Challengers Bangalore". It is noteworthy that the Government of India changed the name of the city from Bengaluru to Bengaluru on 1 November 2014. Keeping this in mind, the team management decided to change the name. This new name was announced together by Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Smriti Mandhana. Not only this, but RCB has also got a new logo, which looks quite spectacular and attractive.

What did Virat Kohli say about the IPL 2024 season?

Just a few days ago, the women's RCB team won the WPL 2024 title under the captaincy of Smriti Mandhana. They won the trophy by defeating Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the final match. Now, ahead of the IPL 2024 season, Virat Kohli said, "As everyone knows, whenever RCB wins the title for the first time, I will be a part of this group. I will do everything possible to make this franchise a champion. It is my dream." "It's also about feeling the emotions of winning the IPL trophy. Hopefully, we can do that this time."
