Shubman Gill Fined: Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 35 runs in the IPL match played on Friday. Amidst the celebration of victory, suddenly bad news has emerged for Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill. Shubhman Gill had to suffer a loss of Rs 24 lakh due to one of his mistakes. Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill has been fined Rs 24 lakh for violating the IPL code of conduct. This was Shubman Gill's second offense in the IPL 2024 season. 

Will Shubman Gill be banned for one IPL match?

BCCI has given this big punishment to Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill after he was found guilty of slow over rate in the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The Gujarat Titans (GT) team had failed to complete its 20 overs within the stipulated time. If Shubman Gill is found guilty of slow overrate once again in the IPL 2024 season, then he can be banned for one IPL match and fined Rs 30 lakh. 

Shubman Gill got a big punishment for this mistake 

According to the IPL press release, Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill has been fined Rs 24 lakh for slow over rate during the IPL match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 10. Whereas the impact player and other players of the playing eleven of Gujarat Titans (GT) have been fined Rs 6 lakh each or 25% of their match fee. According to the rules, if the captain is found guilty of slow over rate for the third time in an IPL season, apart from a fine of Rs 30 lakh, the captain will be banned for one IPL match. At the same time, a fine of Rs 12 lakh each or 50% of the match fee will be imposed on other players of the playing eleven including the impact player.
