KKR won the IPL title for the third time. In the title match, Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first. However, KKR bowlers proved their decision wrong and bowled out Hyderabad for 113 runs. 

This season of IPL was dominated by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Virat Kohli and Punjab Kings (PBKS) fast bowler Harshal Patel. Virat Kohli performed brilliantly with the bat throughout the season and won the Orange Cap by scoring the most runs. Whereas Harshal Patel won the Purple Cap by taking the most wickets.

35-year-old Virat Kohli scored 741 runs in 15 matches in IPL 2024 at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69. Meanwhile, King Kohli scored one century and five half-centuries. Virat has captured the Orange Cap for the second time. Kohli became the first Indian player to win the Orange Cap twice in IPL. Earlier, Kohli had won the Orange Cap by scoring 973 runs in the 2016 season.

Talking about fast bowler Harshal Patel, he took 24 wickets in 14 matches this season at an average of 19.87 and an economy rate of 9.73. Harshal Patel has captured the Purple Cap for the second time. Earlier, Harshal had also won the Purple Cap in the 2021 season.
