Even though five-time champions Chennai Super Kings had to face defeat in the match played in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League on Sunday, former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has registered a world record in his name.

In this match played at Visakhapatnam ground, Dhoni made a big record by catching Prithvi Shaw behind the wicket on the ball of spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Prithvi Shaw became the 300th victim of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in T20 cricket.

With this, he has become the first wicketkeeper in the world to take 300 dismissals in overall T20 cricket. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and India's Dinesh Karthik are jointly second among the wicketkeepers who have done the most hunting behind the wicket. Both these wicketkeepers have taken 274-274 dismissals.
