In the second qualifier match of IPL 16 against Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians star cricketer Suryakumar Yadav played a crucial inning of 60 runs. However, this innings did not win Mumbai Indians. Through this innings, he completed his six hundred runs in IPL 16. However, this star cricketer from Mumbai missed breaking the record of former captain Sachin Tendulkar.

Had Suryakumar Yadav added 14 runs in his innings, he would have become the highest run-scorer in a single season for Mumbai Indians. Till now this record is registered in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. He scored the highest 618 runs for Mumbai Indians in the year 2010.
