IPL 2023: Shubman Gill captured Orange Cap, left Kohli behind, and also achieved these achievements

Gujarat Titans opening batsman Shubman Gill (129) captured the Orange Cap of IPL 16 with a stormy century against Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier match. Shubman Gill has scored 851 runs so far this season. He has snatched the Orange Cap from RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, who scored 730 runs this season.

Shubman Gill has his third century in this edition. He has left behind Virat Kohli, who has scored two centuries, in this edition. The same Shubman Gill has now become the third player to score more than 800 runs in a season. Ahead of him are now former RCB captain Virat Kohli (973) and Jos Buttler (863).

By hitting ten sixes in the match, Gill has registered the record for most sixes in the playoffs. Earlier, many cricketers including Sehwag had hit eight sixes each.
