Before the start of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, India's new batting star Sarfaraz Khan and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel have been given a big reward by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for their excellent performance in the Test series against England.

BCCI has now given place to both these young players in the central contract. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel have been placed in Group C. Cricketers included in this group are given an annual retainership fee of Rs 1 crore. Both these Indian cricketers have fulfilled the criteria of playing three Tests in the current season.

This big step has been taken during the BCCI Apex Council meeting held on Monday. With this step of the Indian Board, the number of players in the list of central contracts has now increased to 32. Earlier only thirty players were given a place in this list.
