After taking power in America, Donald Trump first called Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS). Before his oath, it was expected that he could make his first call to Russia's Putin, China's Xi Jinping, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but Trump proved all speculations wrong and called his old friend MBS.

In return for his call, the Saudi Prince also opened his heart to America and promised to invest about 600 billion dollars in America in the next four years. According to Saudi Arabia's state media, MBS told Trump that he has the ability to create 'unprecedented economic prosperity' in America and Saudi Arabia wants to take part in it. Although the report does not clarify where these investments will be made, it is believed that the investment could be in sports, weapons or technology sectors.

Trump's foreign trip may start from Saudi.

In his previous tenure, Donald Trump broke the tradition of visiting Britain on the first visit of American presidents and made his first visit to Saudi Arabia. He can do so this time too, experts believe that Donald Trump also has good personal relations with the Saudi Crown Prince. Mohammed Salman also invested 2 billion in Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's company in 2022.

In his last term, Trump had broken the tradition in his first visit and said that if Saudi Arabia invests the maximum, then I will visit Saudi in future too. In Trump's last term, Saudi Arabia had invested 450 billion dollars and now it has increased it to 600 billion.

What can Saudi Arabia get from Trump?

Saudi Arabia is America's largest trade partner. Saudi Arabia purchases the most weapons from America and is America's key partner in regional security. The White House said in a statement issued after the phone call on Thursday that the two leaders discussed efforts to bring stability in the Middle East, strengthen regional security and combat terrorism.
