After the UN General Assembly, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has made a big statement. During the press conference, Safadi said that Arab and Muslim countries guarantee Israel's security if it agrees to establish a Palestinian state on the borders set in 1967. He also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of not being ready to accept the two-state solution and prolonging the war. His statement came after the increased tension in the region after Nasrallah's death.

Safadi said, “The Israeli prime minister came here and said Israel is surrounded by people who want to destroy it. We, the members of the Muslim-Arab Committee, which has a mandate of 57 Arab and Muslim countries, are here and I am telling you very clearly that we are all ready to guarantee Israel's security if Israel agrees to end the occupation and establish a Palestinian state.”

Safadi also said that Netanyahu is creating danger in the region by not accepting the two-state solution. He asked media persons if Israel is not accepting the two-state solution, can you ask them what is their 'end game' other than fighting war after war.

Safadi further said, “All Arab countries want peace, in which Israel also lives in peace and security, is accepted, has normal relations with all Arab countries, ends the occupation, and withdraws from Arab territory. A Palestinian state should be established on the broken state solution of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Protest against Israel's actions in Lebanon

Ayman Safadi had earlier strongly condemned Israel's attacks on Lebanon and promised to stand with Jordan for Lebanon's sovereignty and security. On the Israeli bombing in Lebanon, Safadi wrote on X, "We condemn Israel's aggression against Lebanon, the violation of its sovereignty, the bombing of its capital, the killing of its citizens, and its threat to its security and stability. We stand in solidarity with Lebanon and its brotherly people."
