Who is Syria's new Prime Minister? He said this as soon as he took charge.

After the coup of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham elected Mohammed al-Bashir as the Prime Minister of the internal government. He will take over the governance till March 2025, the responsibility of forming a new government in the country has fallen on Mohammed's shoulders. He is currently busy forming an internal government by meeting the officials of the old government.
After assuming the PM's chair, Bashir called for peace in the country. In an interview with Arabic news Al Jazeera, he said, "Now the time has come for these people (Syrian people) to enjoy stability and peace." Bashir has previously served as the head of the rebel administration's Salvation Government in Idlib, Syria, before which he held the post of 'Development Minister'.
America is ready to recognize the new government
Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State said that Washington will recognize and fully support the future Syrian government, provided it emerges through a credible, inclusive process that respects minorities. However, the US has not yet removed Hayat Tahrir al-Sham from the list of terrorist organizations.
Who is Mohammed al-Bashir?
His CV says he is an electrical engineer and worked in a gas plant before the civil war began in 2011. In January, Bashir was appointed prime minister of the Salvation Government (SG), formed by HTS to run the territory under its control.
Al-Bashir was born in 1983 in the village of Mashoun, located in the Jabal Zawiya area of Idlib governorate. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Aleppo University in 2007 and then worked at a gas plant.
Before this week, Mohammed al-Bashir was little known outside HTS-dominated areas such as Idlib and Aleppo. Bashir appeared outside Idlib for the first time in a video released on Monday, in which he was seen wearing formal clothes and meeting Julani and the outgoing prime minister.
“Just as the revolution was a revolution for all Syrians, the transition process will also be the responsibility of all Syrians to ensure that it succeeds and guarantees a peaceful transition to democracy,” Bashir said in his statement.
