While there was talk of India-US friendship, Pakistan-Turkey set this target.

During PM Modi's visit to America, the friendship between India and America appeared to be deeper. Important issues like defense, energy, trade, AI and NRIs were discussed. Meanwhile, a deal was made to increase bilateral trade between Pakistan and Turkey to $5 billion.
The Turkish President arrived in Islamabad on 12 February on a two-day visit. He was welcomed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari in Rawalpindi. According to the local radio of Pakistan, he reached the Prime Minister's residence in Islamabad for talks with Prime Minister Shahbaz. There he was warmly welcomed with a guard of honour. During this, the national anthems of both the countries were also played.
According to Radio Pakistan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a high-level meeting that the two countries are considering expanding the scope of their existing goods trade agreement in the first phase.

will provide incentives to develop plans
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Erdogan said that Turkish investors will be encouraged to get more involved in Pakistan and develop major projects. Our discussions on issues related to the military sector and cooperation in the defense industry have led to a significant increase in trade as well as investment.
He said both sides expressed their strong determination to pursue projects and potential areas for cooperation, including buying, selling and manufacturing together. The Turkish President expressed confidence that the 24 agreements signed with Pakistan today will prove beneficial for both countries and the region.
Addressing the Pakistan-Turkey Business Forum in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that both countries have resolved to ensure bilateral trade of $5 billion. He said that we will definitely achieve the target of $5 billion. However, a lot of work still remains to be done for this. He said that today we have signed many MoUs and agreements. The paperwork has been successfully completed, but the most important thing is that we have to achieve this target in reality.
