Where did Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi disappear? Even the police are unable to find any clue.
Where has Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, disappeared, raids are being conducted to find her. Actually, she has not appeared in court in the alleged corruption case of 190 million pounds, after which Bushra Bibi is being searched. Bushra did not appear in court during eight consecutive hearings. After this, the court issued non-bailable warrants.
Justice Nasir Javed Rana rejected her plea for exemption from appearing in court. Since then, raids have been conducted to arrest Bushra. Officials said that after the court's order, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) asked its Rawalpindi team to arrest Bushra Bibi. Bushra Bibi is currently living in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Former PM Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is in power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The team had gone to arrest Bushra.
The media report said that the NAB team went to Peshawar on November 23 to arrest Bushra Bibi. When the officials showed the arrest warrant at Bushra Bibi's house, it was found that she was not present at home, which is why the team had to return empty-handed.
Both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are accused of misappropriating 50 billion Pakistani rupees (£190 million) that was returned to Pakistan by Britain's National Crime Agency as part of a settlement with a property dealer. The money was meant for Pakistan's national treasury but was used for personal gain that helped Bushra and Khan build a university. Bibi, as a trustee of the Al-Qadir Trust, is accused of benefiting from the deal. Bushra is also accused of acquiring 458 kanals of land for Al-Qadir University in Jhelum.
