Trump won the election but why is businessman Elon Musk being called 'President'?
Donald Trump won the US presidential election but Elon Musk is being called the real president. Some Democrats and Republicans are calling Elon Musk the 'President' and Donald Trump the 'Vice President'.
In fact, Elon Musk had threatened that any Republican who votes in favor of increasing government funding will be removed from office. Since then, some members of the US Parliament have called Musk the 'President'.
'President Musk' trended on X
When billionaire businessman Musk helped defeat the GOP's government funding bill on Wednesday, Democrats and some Republicans referred to Elon Musk as 'President'. The failure of this bill has put the US federal government in danger of a shutdown, as the government has run out of cash for spending. But Musk played an important role in preventing the passage of the bill needed to fund the government before the Christmas holiday. This is the reason why 'President Musk' also kept trending on Elon Musk-owned social media platform X.
Musk is President and Trump is Vice President!
Former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger referred to Elon Musk as the "president" and Donald Trump as the "vice president" during a CNN panel discussion on the spending bill and said thank God he's not in Congress.
Kinzinger said, 'President Musk, with his extensive government experience, made it clear this morning that he does not want Republicans to pass this bill, and it appears that Vice President Donald Trump is supporting him on this issue.'
Senator Bernie Sanders took a jibe
US Senator Bernie Sanders also addressed Elon Musk as 'President' in a post on X. He wrote, 'This week the US Congress reached an agreement to fund our government. Elon Musk, whose wealth has increased by $200 billion since Trump was elected, has objected to this. Are Republicans grateful to the American people? Or to 'President' Musk?'
At the same time, Indian-origin Democratic representative Pramila Jayapal has also posted on X and called Elon Musk a shadow president. She has written that it is clear who is the real in-charge, and it is not the elected President Donald Trump.
