A big statement has come from the US regarding the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Trump's religious advisor and former USCIRF commissioner Johnny Moore has said that the current US government does not pay much attention to Bangladesh.

He said that even though the Biden administration is ignoring the situation in Bangladesh, the main fact is that the government is going to change in America, and there will be a government that will have an unmatched foreign policy.

America's big statement on Bangladesh violence

Actually, Moore was asked about America's stand amid violence against minorities in Bangladesh. He was asked in such a situation, what will the Trump government do differently compared to the Biden government? On this, he said that there is no such challenge in the world that cannot be solved.

Moore said that at present there are more than 50 wars going on all over the world and I am surprised that the current US government is not paying any attention to Bangladesh. He said I assure you that during Trump's first term, religious freedom was the top priority among human rights.

India is an essential ally of America- Moore.

This was in many ways the center of our foreign policy. You will see the same this time too. Trump's team sees India as an important ally, so in the upcoming Trump government, you will see such cooperation between America and India, which has not been seen till now.

Why is there a controversy in Bangladesh?

After the coup of Sheikh Hasina's government in Bangladesh, there was violence against minorities, especially Hindus, in this case, Hindu organizations were demanding justice. On October 25 last month, a rally was taken out in Chittagong demanding protection of the rights of Hindus, 19 people including Chinmay Das were accused of insulting the national flag of Bangladesh during this rally.

In the same case, Hindu saint Chinmay Krishna Das was arrested on November 25 on charges of treason. The Bangladesh court did not grant him bail and sent him to jail. After this, Chinmay Das's supporters took to the streets and started violent protests.

The Indian Foreign Ministry had also issued a statement expressing deep concern over the arrest of Chinmay Krishna Das in Bangladesh and not granting him bail. This case has come to light amid the continuous targeting of Hindus and other minorities by extremist elements in Bangladesh, due to which concerns have started increasing about the safety of minorities and protection of their rights in Bangladesh.
