On the one hand, a deal has been struck to end the war between Israel and Hamas, on the other hand, a war has broken out in India's neighborhood. Neighboring country Myanmar has carried out an airstrike in western Rakhine, in which 28 people have died. 25 people have also been injured in the attack.

The Arakan Army (AA) is engaged in a battle with the army for control of Rakhine, where it captured several areas last year. The Arakan Army (AA) has said that those killed and injured are family members of Myanmar soldiers.

The Arakan Army is a rebel group in Myanmar. Rakhine province shares a 271-km-long border with Bangladesh. The India-Myanmar border is 1,643 km long. On the Myanmar side, the control of this border is completely in the hands of ethnic armed groups rather than the army.

Earlier on January 9, the army carried out an airstrike on a village in the western region of Myanmar, killing at least 40 people and injuring 20 others. This attack was carried out on Wednesday on Kyauk Ni Maw village of Ramri Island. This island was under the control of the ethnic Arakan Army. Due to the attack, many houses caught fire, due to which hundreds of houses were burnt to ashes.

The attacks are part of a growing conflict and violence in Myanmar that has continued since the military overthrew the democratically elected government in February 2021. Many people who protested against the military's violent repression have now joined the armed resistance.
