Additionally, about Palestine and Israel, the President decided to appoint a Special Envoy to assess Palestinian needs.

Announced to give help to Palestine

The press release said that the President has previously helped the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. He has decided to launch a fundraising campaign to help people in Palestine. Apart from this, he decided to organize a nationwide rally in the Maldives. The statement said that he aims to show solidarity with Palestine.

Let us tell you that there is a war going on between Israel and Hamas. Israel is now continuously attacking Rafah on the border with Egypt. Violence is continuously increasing in the West Bank, in such a situation the possibility of getting their state for the Palestinian people seems more distant than ever.

Many countries recognized Palestine

Several European countries have begun to formally recognize the existence of the Palestinian state. After Ireland, Spain, and Norway recognized it last week, other European countries – including the UK, France, and Germany – are under pressure to follow them in supporting Palestinian self-determination. The United Nations has also expressed concern over the attack in Rafah. Now the Maldives has taken a tough step and banned the entry of Israeli people.
