In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jiyand Baloch said the attack took place at around 5:45 pm (local time) in the Behman area, located about eight kilometers from Turbat city.

He said the target was a convoy of 13 vehicles, comprising five buses and seven military vehicles, traveling from Karachi towards the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Turbat.

The BLA said the Pakistani army convoy included soldiers from MI 309, FC SIU, FC 117 Wing, FC 326 Wing, FC 81 Wing, and retired army Captain Zohaib Mohsin, who now serves as a police officer, The Balochistan Post reported. The BLA claimed that a bus was completely destroyed in the attack, and a military vehicle was demolished in the blast, which it said was carried out with the help of its intelligence wing, Jirab.

The statement said that Zirab had informed that an enemy convoy was leaving Karachi for Turbat and it included important troops of the occupation army. The BLA said that the success of the attack reflects the excellent performance of its intelligence gathering.

Identification of the attacker

The statement said that this attack is a clear message that the land of Balochistan will never be safe for the occupying state. The attacker has been identified as fidayee Sangat Bahar Ali of Kohda Murad Muhammad Bazaar in Dasht Hochat area of Turbat. According to the report, the group further said that based on ZIRAB's intelligence, Balochistan's highways will be made unsafe for the military, state agents, and investors and urged civilians to avoid state convoys. In the statement, the BLA said, "Our land will always remain unsafe for the occupying state, and we will not give up our struggle until we are liberated."
