The Israeli army has once again targeted another hospital in Gaza. Since Friday, the Israeli army has been bombing the areas around the hospital. According to Al Jazeera's report, the Israeli army raided Gaza's Kamal Adwan Hospital on Friday night and later set it on fire.

Local officials have described Israel's action as 'barbaric'. According to reports, most of the wards of Kamal Adwan have been burnt to ashes in the fire. Gaza's Health Ministry informed that the Israeli army has detained dozens of employees including Kamal Adwan Hospital director Husam Abu Safia for questioning, while it is unknown what happened to many patients after the soldiers forcibly evacuated the hospital.

300 patients were evacuated from the hospital

Around 300 patients were admitted in Kamal Adwan Hospital. The Israeli army first carried out an airstrike on the premises, then stormed the hospital and set it on fire after evacuating all the patients and staff. Many of these patients were dependent on life saving equipment, all of them were left in the open in the extreme cold. This has further increased the danger to their lives.

The United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) said that Israel's 'systematic destruction' of Gaza's health infrastructure is a death sentence for thousands of Palestinians. The UN agency working for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has demanded immediate humanitarian aid as children in Gaza are dying from cold.
