After the war with Ukraine, many countries of the world have imposed sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the other hand, Russia does not seem to be achieving much success in the war. It has been more than 2 years and Ukraine is still stuck on the battlefield. Now in the meantime, Putin has expressed hope from the BRICS countries that they can work as mediators in the peace talks. BRICS is a group of five countries, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

According to news agency Reuters, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that China, India, and Brazil could act as mediators in possible peace talks on Ukraine. Putin said that an agreement was reached between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators in talks in Istanbul in the first week of the war, which was never implemented. Negotiations can be held on that basis.
