PML-N leader Hanif claims drugs were supplied to Imran Khan in jail
The bad relations between the Shahbaz government and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Pakistan are well known. Meanwhile, PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi has made a big allegation against Imran Khan, who is in jail, during his address in Parliament. He said that Imran Khan was provided cocaine in jail. He also claimed that the Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail was removed from his post because he was providing drugs to the former Prime Minister.
During his address in the Pakistani Parliament, Abbasi further said that if Imran Khan's cell is searched today, drugs will still be found there. According to Abbasi, all this can pose a threat to Imran Khan's safety and health. He has demanded a high-level investigation into this matter so that it can be clear what is going on in the jail and what kind of activities are taking place.
Imran Khan is currently lodged in Attock jail, where he was sentenced in the Toshakhana case. Concerns are also being raised about his prison conditions and health, and his supporters are raising questions about whether deliberate attempts are being made to harm him.
Imran Khan is also being accused of being given special facilities in jail, which ordinary prisoners do not get. However, there is no concrete evidence available to confirm this claim, and this is being considered a part of political revenge.
Serious concerns are being raised about Imran Khan's safety and health. His party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claims that he is being deliberately tortured. According to reports, jail authorities have taken steps such as spreading foul smell in his cell and reducing the water supply, which has made his condition even worse.
