Pakistani leader made controversial statement on Sikhs, apologized after being cornered

Pakistan party PML-N leader and former deputy mayor of Faisalabad Amin Butt had issued an objectionable statement about the Sikh community. He had said that Faisalabad will not allow Sikhs to open the Gurudwara. After which he apologized to the Sikh community for his statement.

Which went viral on social media and that statement proved costly for him. After which he had to give clarification on his statement and he apologized to the Sikh community.

What statement did Amin Butt give

In his statement, former Deputy Mayor Amin Butt had said that "We will not allow Sikhs to open a gurdwara. Faisalabad will not allow Sikhs to open a gurdwara, Sikhs are rapists and killers of Muslims. We will not allow any Sikh gurdwara in Faisalabad. If Sikhs try to build it, they will face the fighters of Allah."

Apologized to the Sikh community

Once again in Pakistan, the writ of Punjab government to allow the Sikh community to open the Gurudwara in Faisalabad which was closed for 76 years has been openly challenged. Due to which Amin Butt had issued this statement. After which Amin Butt apologized to the Sikh community and said that it was my mistake to say so. He said that a few days ago I had given a statement against the Gurudwara, against the Sikh community. Which was completely wrong. I made a mistake. Therefore, I apologize to the Sikh community. He also said that we promise you that we will never give any such statement in future.
