According to Geo News, the CDA said that an additional floor was constructed on the plot in violation of building rules.

' Notice was issued to PTI '

The CDA said that the encroachment done by a 'political party' was removed. The CDA argued that the plot was allotted in the name of a person named Sartaj Ali. The government body said that it had issued notice to PTI but to no avail.

As soon as the operation began, the former PM's party appealed to its workers to immediately reach the secretariat. PTI said that the government started demolishing the office in an 'illegal and unjust manner'.

No order received from CDA

Party president Barrister Gauhar Khan said that they have not received any order from the CDA. Khan said that CDA officials were asked to provide documents about the operation, however, they were unable to produce them. He said, "If there was any encroachment and they had informed us earlier, we would have removed it ourselves."

' Will raise the issue in the assembly '

According to a Geo News report, while talking to the media outside the office, PTI General Secretary Umar Ayub said that the party will raise the issue of CDA in the assembly.

Ayub said, 'PTI strongly condemns the action of CDA.' He stressed that the city administration started the action at night without any prior notice. According to a Geo News report, he also said that police officials have arrested PTI leader Amir Mughal.

PTI central office sealed

After the completion of the operation, CDA officials sealed the PTI central office and pasted the order on it.

During the operation, PTI workers resisted the CDA's efforts to demolish the office, resulting in the arrest of some party workers by Islamabad authorities.
