Pakistan followed the path of Taliban : Ban on teachers wearing jeans and T-shirts, decree issued for women too
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) of Pakistan has issued a notification banning female teachers from wearing jeans and tight clothes. Apart from this, a notification has also been issued to stop male teachers from wearing jeans and T-shirts. According to the report of Dawn News, in this regard, the Director of Education has sent a letter to the principals of schools and colleges on Monday. In the letter, the principals have been asked to ensure that every staff dresses properly so that a good message is sent to society. The letter also says about good measures like a regular haircut, beard trimming, nail cutting, shower, and use of perfume.
Pakistan Education Department clarified
The Pakistan Education Department says that during the research, we have found that the effect of dress on people's thoughts is more than what is understood. The first effect is on the personality of the students. We have decided that female teachers will not be able to wear jeans or tights from now on. Male teachers are also being banned from wearing jeans and T-shirts with immediate effect. They will be required to wear teaching gowns or coats in classrooms and labs.
The voices of protest against this order of the Education Department have started rising on the news channels of Pakistan. Some people say that in a country whose prime minister blames women's clothing for sexual exploitation, such decrees were bound to be issued. But, they should explain what rules apply to the rape and murder of three-year-old girls.
