A shocking claim has come to light in Pakistan's Islamabad court today. Pakistan has accepted that PoK is a foreign territory and is not a part of it. The Federal Prosecutor General told the court that poet Ahmed Farhad, who was kidnapped from Islamabad a few days ago, is on remand in "Azad Kashmir" till June 2. He cannot be produced before the Islamabad court because "Azad Kashmir" is a foreign territory. Kashmiri poet Ahmed Farhad's lawyer Iman Mazari has called this statement shocking.

What is the whole matter?

The Islamabad High Court was informed on Wednesday that missing poet and journalist Ahmed Farhad Shah is in the custody of the Dhirkot police in Azad Kashmir. The development came when senior IHC judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani resumed hearing on a petition seeking the recovery of the missing Kashmiri poet.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan had called for the immediate release of Shah, who was allegedly abducted from his home on May 15. The same day, Shah's wife filed a petition in the IHC, requesting that he be traced and produced before the court and that those responsible for his disappearance be identified, investigated, and prosecuted.

The claim is surprising

Everyone was shocked to hear this claim. Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has expressed displeasure over his claim. If “Azad Kashmir” is a foreign territory, then how did Pakistani Rangers enter this foreign land from Pakistan? And the Prime Minister of “Azad Kashmir” has clearly said that he did not call the Rangers.
