This theatre is located in Dingle, County Kerry, South West Ireland. The name of this theatre is Phoenix Cinema, which is more than 100 years old. In the year 2025, this couple will get the Phoenix Cinema renovated. Apart from the theatre, this cinema hall is also known as a dance hall.
Phoenix Cinema is the only theatre in County Kerry, this hall was in use till three years before the actor bought it. Talking about this hall, Killian said that when he was young, he used to come to this hall with his father to watch movies during summer vacations. Not only this, he also said that this hall is so old that when his father was a young age, he also used to go to watch movies there.
Killian, while describing the specialty of the theatre, said that after his father, he too has watched films in this hall with his children. He said we know what cinema means to Dingle. Phoenix is 105 years old, that is, it was built in 1919 by the Jimmy and Johnny Houlihan Brothers. This theatre has been hit by fire twice, after which it was rebuilt.
In the year 1950, this theater was bought by John Moore and he opened a concert hall and dance hall in it. Later in the year 1978, Michael O'Sullivan bought the Phoenix Cinema and continued to run it until the arrival of Covid-19. However, during the lockdown, he had to close this theater. Killian's wife Yvonne McGillis, while talking about this hall, said that we want to open it again so that we can re-establish the culture of this city through it.
