On the one hand, weapons went silent in Gaza even before Trump's oath, on the other hand, China showed its power in Myanmar.

On one hand, the Gaza ceasefire happened under the mediation of America, Qatar, and Egypt, on the other hand, China has also brokered a ceasefire agreement in a long-running war. Mediator China said on Monday that Myanmar's military government and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) in the northeast of the country have signed a ceasefire agreement.
Let us tell you, that the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army has occupied a large area adjacent to China and its clashes with the Myanmar Army are continuing, which was a threat to China's security. This agreement implemented on Saturday is the second such agreement in less than a year. There is no assurance as to how long this agreement will last.
China is the biggest foreign ally of Myanmar's military government. The army took power in February 2021 after removing the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi. After which there were peaceful protests across the country which turned into a civil war. China has special geopolitical and economic interests in Myanmar and is very concerned about the instability on its border, due to which China is trying to create peace in its neighborhood.
China's Foreign Ministry official Mao Ning said, "We hope that all parties will maintain ceasefire and peace talks, sincerely implement the existing common understanding, take the initiative to reduce tensions on the ground, and further discuss and resolve relevant issues through dialogue." He said that China is ready to actively promote dialogue and support the peace process in northern Myanmar. However, China did not give much information about the agreement and Myanmar's military government has also not immediately commented on the ceasefire.
