Nepal's Army Chief on India tour, apart from many important meetings, also plans to visit Ayodhya.

Nepal Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel has arrived in India on his 4-day visit. This is his official visit. Which is an important step in strengthening the relations between India and Nepal. The purpose of this four-day visit is to increase bilateral military cooperation and find new ways for defense cooperation. According to the Ministry of Defense, the objective of this visit from 11 to 14 December is to enhance bilateral military cooperation and find new avenues for defense cooperation. Today General Sigdel will pay floral tribute at the National War Memorial in New Delhi. He will be given a guard of honor at the South Block lawn. After this, he will meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
According to the Defence Ministry, General Sigdel will also be briefed on the security perspective and the Indian defense industry by the Additional Director General of the Army Design Bureau.
What is General Sigdel's India visit plan?
On December 12, General Sigdel will attend the investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Which, according to the unique tradition between the Indian Army and the Nepali Army, President Draupadi Murmu will honor Sigdel with the honorary rank of General of the Indian Army. Along with this, Sigdel will also meet Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
A reciprocal lunch will be hosted by the COAS of the Nepal Army at the Nepal Embassy in Delhi. Later in the day, General Ashok Raj Sigdel will plant a tree at the Manekshaw Centre. In the evening, he will leave for Pune.
The Nepal Army Chief will visit the Indian Defence Industry in Pune on December 13. Here he will see static equipment demonstrations and meet representatives. From here he will go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Where he will attend the Reviewing Officer's dinner in the evening.
Nepal Army COAS General Ashok Raj Sigdel will take the salute as the reviewing officer in the parade of Gentlemen Cadets on 14 December.
