Bangladesh officials said on Sunday that due to increasing conflict in Myanmar, about 60 thousand Rohingyas have entered Bangladesh in the last two months. About 12 lakh Rohingyas have taken refuge in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar district, most of these Rohingya Muslims fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh during military repression in August 2017.

Due to the infiltration of Rohingyas, corruption has also increased on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, here some people are helping Rohingyas cross the border by taking money. Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauhid Hussain, while talking to the media, gave information about his Bangkok visit, where an informal consultation meeting was held between Laos, Thailand, India, China, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

60 thousand Rohingya took refuge in Bangladesh

Tauheed Hussain in Dhaka said that our position in the Myanmar case is that we cannot allow any more Rohingya refugees to come, yet sometimes the situation becomes such that we cannot do much about it. In such a situation, we have allowed about 60 thousand Rohingya refugees to come to Bangladesh, although we have not officially called them to Bangladesh, rather they have reached here through different routes.

Myanmar- Neighbouring countries should find solutions through dialogue

This meeting regarding the situation in Myanmar was held last week under the chairmanship of Thailand's Foreign Minister. Myanmar's Deputy PM and Foreign Minister also participated in this meeting. According to Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs Advisor Tauheed Hussain, all the neighboring countries of Myanmar now do not see the possibility of Rohingya returning to Myanmar. However, he said that all the countries involved in the meeting have appealed to Myanmar to solve its internal problems through dialogue with all parties.

Arakan Army captures Bangladesh border.

The rebel organization Arakan Army has captured most parts of Rakhine State bordering Bangladesh. Bangladesh says that it is not possible to negotiate with the rebel groups on issues related to the border and Rohingya refugees. Therefore, they have appealed to the Myanmar junta government for help in solving this problem.
