Main conspirator of Bangladeshi MP's murder arrested, Bengal CID nabbed him from Nepal

The main conspirator in the murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar, Muhammad Siam, has been arrested by Bengal CID from Nepal. The accused had fled to Nepal with a Bangladesh-born American citizen after the murder of the Bangladeshi MP in New Town.

Giving this information on Friday, West Bengal CID said that it is making arrangements to bring one of the main suspects in the murder of the Bangladeshi MP from Nepal to Kolkata.

Mohammed Siam Hossain, who had fled to Nepal after allegedly killing Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata's New Town area, was arrested from the border area of ​​the neighboring country last Thursday.

A West Bengal CID official said the decision to hand over the accused to Indian authorities was taken due to the fact that the slain Bangladeshi MP was last seen in the city.

The body of the dead Bangladeshi MP has not been found

The CID official said the suspected accused arrested from Nepal is being brought to Kolkata as the crime took place in their jurisdiction. Main conspirator Muhammad Siyam is the alleged main conspirator and had fled to Nepal along with a Bangladesh-born US citizen after the murder of the Bangladeshi MP in New Town. He later fled to Dubai before returning to the US.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased Bangladeshi MP has not been found yet. The CID officer said that the search for the body parts of the deceased Bangladeshi MP is still going on.

The body of the MP was cut into pieces

Missing MP Anwarul Azim Anar reportedly reached Kolkata for treatment on May 12, but he went missing after that. Gopal Biswas, a resident of Baranagar in Kolkata and an acquaintance of the Bangladeshi politician, lodged a complaint with the local police on May 18.

Later, the police received information about the murder of the Bangladeshi MP in a housing complex in New Town. It was alleged that the Bangladeshi MP was strangled to death and then his body was cut into pieces. Then the pieces of the body were thrown into various areas. The police are searching for the body of the MP, but the body has not been found yet.
