After the ceasefire in the Gaza war that lasted for about 15 months, pictures of victory celebrations emerged from Gaza. Similar celebrations were also seen in the West Bank. On the first day of the ceasefire, Hamas released 3 female hostages, in return Israel released 90 Palestinians. Along with this, the Israeli army has also moved out of the populated areas of Gaza and Hamas has started restoring its administration in Gaza.

In the first phase of the agreement, Hamas will release about 34 hostages and Israel will release 30 to 50 Palestinians in exchange for each hostage. Hamas is calling this ceasefire as its victory, but Gaza has completely changed after this victory. Even though Hamas has succeeded in maintaining its government in Gaza, now its government will take over the administration of a city that is in ruins and rubble. There is no production, employment, agriculture, water, school, playground, or any hospital left in good condition.

Hamas leadership ends

Hamas and the people of Gaza have become completely dependent on international aid after 15 months of war. Also, Israel has eliminated almost the entire top leadership of Hamas. More than 50 thousand Palestinians have been killed and more than 90 thousand have been injured in this war, but the pictures from Gaza yesterday shocked everyone when Hamas fighters were seen controlling the crowd on the streets of Gaza before handing over the hostages.

However, experts believe that Hamas's way of working is not pyramid-wise but block-wise. Hamas fighters work in different blocks, there can be 4 to 5 fighters in one block, due to which Hamas has been able to continue the operation even without leadership.

Did the Israel mission fail?

With Hamas's Al Qassam brigade returning to the streets of Gaza in full kit, one thing is clear Netanyahu and IDF could not fulfill their objective for which the attack on Gaza was started. Despite the death of about 50 thousand people and dropping three times more bombs than Hiroshima and Nagasaki, neither Hamas was destroyed nor the hostages were released. If seen from this perspective, then this agreement can be called a victory for Hamas.

Netanyahu's government in danger

During the entire Israeli military operation in Gaza, Netanyahu repeatedly talked about completely eliminating the threat from Gaza and now under the pressure of the US elections, he accepted this agreement without completing his mission. Netanyahu has also called back the army, but he also said in a statement that this agreement is temporary and that whenever we feel threatened, we will attack again with more strength. After the ceasefire, Netanyahu's government came under threat and many far-right leaders are threatening to topple his government.

It is very difficult to say who won this war, but this war has brought disrepute to Mossad, Israeli army and American weapons all over the world. They have failed to capture the militia ruling a small area even after 15 months of heavy bombing.
