Is Syrian rebel group leader Julani a Mossad agent? Know the truth of the claim being made on social media
More than a week has passed since the coup of Bashar al-Assad's government in Syria. At present, an interim government is holding power in the country, but serious questions are being raised about Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the top leader of the main rebel group.
For several days, it has been claimed on social media that Julani, the leader of the Syrian rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is an agent of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. Julani has shown a very soft stance towards Israel since the capture of Damascus, and Julani's latest statements and an order of the organization have further strengthened these allegations.
Palestinian groups asked to lay down arms
According to the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, which is considered close to Hezbollah, the rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) ruling Damascus has ordered all armed Palestinian groups in Syria, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, to lay down their arms, disband military organizations and close training bases.
HTS has told these groups that they can carry out religious and political activities under the supervision of the Syrian government, but they are not allowed to use Syrian territory in any way for military operations against Israel.
Julani's soft stance on Israel!
After HTS captured the Syrian capital Damascus, Israel has also expanded the area occupied by Syria. The Golan Heights area of Syria has been under Israeli occupation for several decades and after the ouster of the Bashar government, Israel has gone ahead and captured the buffer zone as well. Many media reports have claimed that the Israeli army is now just 25 kilometers away from Damascus.
On the other hand, a few days ago, when rebel group leader Al-Julani was asked about the Israeli invasion and occupation of southern Syria, he clearly refused to interfere in it. Julani had said that 'Syria is not going to get involved in another war with Israel, the country is not ready for another war. The biggest threat to us is Hezbollah and Iran-backed Shia militias.'
Is rebel leader Julani a Mossad agent?
Actually, a picture of Julani is going viral on social media, in this picture he is seen wearing khaki coloured tactical gear. It is being claimed that the tactical gear worn by Julani is manufactured by an Israeli company.
However, emersongear is written on the back of this tactical gear which is a Chinese company. On searching the website of this company, it is revealed that this tactical gear is a copy of the Chinese company. That is, this is not the tactical gear of any real brand.
Who is Abu Mohammad al-Julani?
Julani was born in 1982 to a petroleum engineer in Saudi Arabia. When Julani was 7 years old, his family moved to Syria. According to reports, Julani joined al-Qaeda in 2003. After this, during the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, he formed an organization named 'Jabhat al-Nusra'. This group was an ally of al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist Baghdadi played a big role in establishing it.
On the other hand, in 2016, to present himself as modern and liberal, Julani broke ties with al-Qaeda, dissolved 'Jabhat al-Nusra' and formed a new organization. Later, many rebel groups with similar ideology merged in this organization and it was named Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
