America has announced to provide more help for the security of its ally Israel. Israel will get such a security cover that it will be very difficult for Iran and its proxies to penetrate it. Since the beginning of the war, America has been providing all kinds of help to Israel and is using all its might for its security.

As the scope of attacks by Israel's enemies is increasing, America is also coming forward to protect its friend. The Pentagon has announced that it is going to give Israel an advanced anti-missile system (THAAD). Apart from this, America is going to deploy its additional troops in Israel.

Iran is sure to be shaken by this announcement of America because after the attack on itself, it has threatened to retaliate and now America has become alert to save Israel from its retaliatory attack.

Israel will now get THAAD.

The US Defense Department said on Sunday that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has ordered the deployment of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) batteries and US military personnel to Israel to help strengthen the country's air defenses. This new assistance from America reflects its commitment to Israel's security.

How effective is THAAD?

The US Army has seven THAAD batteries, according to a Congressional Research Service report in April. The system is meant to complement the Patriot interceptor and can defend a large area while hitting targets from a distance of 150–200 kilometers (93–124 miles). Typically, each THAAD consists of six truck-mounted launchers, 48 interceptors, and radio and radar equipment and requires 95 soldiers to operate.

A year ago, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the deployment of a THAAD battery and additional Patriot battalions around the Middle East to increase the security of US forces and help defend Israel. Israel will further strengthen its security by getting THAAD, as the existing air defense system has failed to intercept missiles from Hezbollah, Houthis, and Iran on several occasions.
