Amir Tataloo was accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad, which the Supreme Court of Iran found true and declared him guilty. In fact, the Supreme Court had earlier sentenced Tataloo to five years in prison for blasphemy and other crimes, but the court accepted the prosecutor's objection to this sentence. Now he has been sentenced to death.
The government's statement was found correct in the re-investigation- Supreme Court.
Iran's Supreme Court said, "The accused, Amir Hussain Maghsoodloo, popularly known as Amir Tataloo, was earlier sentenced to five years in prison. The case was reopened after the prosecutor objected to Tataloo's sentence. When the investigation was done, the government's statement was found to be correct and pop singer Amir Tataloo has been found guilty of insulting Prophet Muhammad, so he has been sentenced to death."
The court further said, “However, this decision is not final and an appeal can still be made against it.”
Amir Tatalu has been hiding in Türkiye since 2018
37-year-old Amir Tatalu has been hiding in Istanbul, Turkey since 2018 due to fear of Iran. However, the Turkish police caught him in December 2023 and handed him over to Iran. Since then he has been in the custody of Iran. Let us tell you that Tatalu was also sentenced to 10 years for promoting prostitution. Apart from this, he was also accused of spreading propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran and sharing pornographic material.
There is a long-standing relationship with the allegations.
In fact, many allegations were made against tattoo singer Amir Tataloo, famous for rap, pop and R&B compositions. In 2017, Tataloo had a strange television discussion with the then-President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi. After this, Raisi died in a helicopter crash. At the same time, in 2015, Tataloo also made a song in support of Iran's nuclear program, which came out in 2018 during Donald Trump's first presidential term.
