An arrest warrant may be issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The court which can issue this warrant against him has also issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin. How many countries of the world will accept this arrest warrant? Will India accept this, let us know.

India does not understand anything about the court which sentences big Prime Ministers and Presidents.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is tightening its grip on Israel over war crimes. According to reports, the ICC may issue an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. After this report came out, the question arose whether Netanyahu would be arrested. How many countries of the world will accept this arrest warrant? Will India accept this?

Talking about India, it does not follow the orders of the ICC. He obeys the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). This is the same court where Kulbhushan Jadhav's case was going on. In this, India had won against Pakistan.

At the same time, India will not accept whatever order the International Criminal Court gives. Not only India, China, Turkey, Pakistan, and even Russia do not follow ICC orders. If this court issues an arrest warrant against anyone, India will not listen to it. Let us tell you that ICC was formed in the year 2002. At the same time, most of the countries accept the ICJ order. ICJ is an organization of the United Nations and all the countries in the United Nations follow the orders of the ICJ.

The warrant was also issued against Putin

The International Criminal Court is the same court which had also issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ICC would want that whichever country recognizes it and if Putin goes to that country, he should be arrested. When the arrest warrant was issued against Putin, there was also a BRICS summit in South Africa. Putin did not participate in it. Then the question was raised whether Putin did not go to South Africa due to fear of arrest. The condition that was with Putin may probably be the same for Netanyahu. He also should not visit any country.

The head office of the International Criminal Court is in The Hague, Netherlands. It is the first and only permanent international court with jurisdiction to try individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. The court issued its first arrest warrant on 8 July 2005. The court issued its first verdict in 2012 when it found Congolese rebel leader Thomas Lubanga Dyilo guilty of war crimes. Lubanga was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Why will there be action against Netanyahu?

ICC is angry with Israel's action in Gaza and that is why it can issue an arrest warrant against Netanyahu. On October 7 last year, Hamas attacked Israel, after which Israel retaliated and the war between the two continues in Gaza even today. According to Gaza health officials, so far 34,488 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, and 77,643 have been injured.
