The ceasefire in Gaza, which came into effect after 15 months, was delayed by a few hours. The ceasefire in Gaza was supposed to start at 8.30 am, but it was delayed by a few hours. This delay took the life of an entire family in Gaza. The Al-Qidra family had suffered Israeli attacks for 15 months, they had been displaced more than once and were living in a tent.

The al-Kidra family had many relatives among the more than 46,900 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks, but somehow the family managed to survive 15 months of bombing and was preparing to return home.

Israeli jets targeted at the last moment

Ahmed al-Kidra loaded his seven children onto a donkey cart and headed for eastern Khan Younis. It was finally safe to travel, the bombing should have stopped. But the family didn't know that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas had been delayed. They didn't know that even in those extra few hours, Israeli planes were still flying over Gaza, ready to drop their bombs.

Ahmed's wife Hanan said that I heard a very loud explosion. Ahmed's wife was staying at a relative's house in the middle of the city and was packing her things and was planning to go to her husband and children after a few hours. Hanan said, "The explosion felt like it hit my heart." She said that I knew as soon as I heard the sound that something had happened to my children.

Hanan screamed hearing the blast and looked..

The vehicle was attacked. Hanan's eldest son Adli, 16 years old, was killed. His youngest son Sama, 6 years old, was also killed. 12 years old Yasmin said that in front of their cart was a vehicle carrying people celebrating the ceasefire. Perhaps this is why the Israeli plane launched a missile attack.

“I saw Sama and Adli lying on the ground and my father lying on the car, covered in blood and unconscious,” Yasmin said. Yasmin pulled her eight-year-old sister Aseel out before another missile hit the spot where they were. Their 11-year-old son Mohammed also survived, but Hanan's life partner Ahmed was declared dead in hospital.

Hanan al-Qidra cried and said, “We survived in this war for more than a year, but were killed at the last moment. How can this happen?
